Dr. Ben Alley, son of LaFollette, Tennessee, Mayor,
Curt Alley, received his undergraduate degree from
UT and his DDS degree from UT College of Dentistry.
After serving in the Air Force for two years, Dr.
Alley received his oral surgery training in residency
programs at UT Medical Center in Knoxville and University
of Alabama School of Dentistry. Following his graduation
he established an oral surgery practice in Knoxville
and later became a partner in University Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Alley was praised by his parents and earned the
respect of his peers. He was a Diplomat with the American
Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and served
as Trustee and President of the TDA.
In 2002, he received the TDA Fellowship Award. Dr.
Alley was an active member of the ADA. The American
College of Dentists, the Tennessee and Southeastern
Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well
as the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgeons. He was also a supporter of the Board of
Advisors.
